The Story
The Big Bang Events started with a frustration that every event planner knows: planning an event means juggling dozens of vendors, spreadsheets, timelines, and budgets — often with no real tools to help. I saw an opportunity to change that with AI.
As a solo founder based in Vaughan, Ontario, I built this platform from the ground up — 24 AI-powered features, a GTA vendor marketplace, and tools for team collaboration, seating optimization, and budget tracking. The platform is currently in free beta as I work with early users and vendors to make it the best event planning tool in the Greater Toronto Area.

Shivam Tripathi

From Mumbai productions to Toronto's wedding scene
Before The Big Bang Events, Shivam built and ran SEM, an event production company in Mumbai — one of the most demanding event markets in the world. As founder and event manager, he spent three years producing large-scale celebrations: outdoor productions with full stage rigs and LED walls, cultural programs with traditional dance troupes, and seated events for up to 400 guests.
That experience taught him two things that now define The Big Bang Events. First, that big South Asian celebrations aren't "a wedding with more people" — they're multi-day productions that live or die on vendor coordination. And second, that couples deserve to know what things cost before they walk into a negotiation.
When he moved to the Greater Toronto Area, he saw the same celebrations — Anand Karaj ceremonies, nikahs, sangeets, large multicultural receptions — but no marketplace built around them. The Big Bang Events is that marketplace: verified, culturally fluent GTA vendors, transparent pricing on every category, and planning tools built for multi-event weddings. Mumbai taught us production. Toronto is home.
